Origins & Heritage
Rooted in Montserratian and Grenadian heritage and proudly Canadian, Trician-Renée “Ms. Love” Edwards carries her culture, values, and love for people into everything she does. She has spent her life championing opportunities that unite people across differences, building bridges where there were once walls, and nurturing spaces where everyone can feel valued and seen. Her advocacy centers on creating a future where communities thrive together, and every Lovely Learner grows up knowing they belong.
Purpose & Beliefs
For Ms. Love, the journey to self-discovery is one of the greatest adventures a person can take. Her own path has shown her the beauty of embracing one’s true identity and the healing that comes from it. She is devoted to helping others recognize their worth, celebrate who they are, and break free from the limitations of outdated narratives. Through her work, she reminds people that their story matters and their presence is needed in the world.
Early Work & Community Impact
Ms. Love’s passion for community work began as a volunteer with Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, where her dedication quickly led to roles as a summer camp leader, coordinator, rover, and dance instructor in tap, jazz, ballet, and creative movement. For nearly 20 years, she has poured her energy into camps and programs across Scarborough from Malvern to Agincourt, mentoring youth ages 3 to 25 from diverse cultural backgrounds. Whether in the dance studio, on the camp field, or in a classroom, she creates spaces filled with creativity, laughter, and the kind of encouragement that lasts a lifetime.
